Happy Anniversary Beth & Eric!

October is the new June for weddings! And this month we celebrate a few anniversaries! Starting with Beth and Eric’s gorgeous Rookery Wedding that was on October 5th last year!
Belen from Orange 2 Photography photographed this lovely wedding – here are some of the details from the day…

Avant Gardenia designed bouquets and centerpieces. The ever so soft touches of green were so romantic and unique!

Jewell Events Catering wowed the guests with a delicious 3 course meal, and the cake was by Amy Beck Cake Design.

The navy, green, white, and gold color palette complimented the marble, gold, iron and brass Frank Lloyd Wright Architecture of the Light Court.

Photobooth and DJ were both by Non Stop Entertainment, and the guests really seemed to enjoy both! Beth and Eric danced the night away with their guests..and had just a moment to pop outside for a few late night photos.

Happy 1 year to Beth and Eric! We are honored that you chose Soirée to be a part of your special day! We loved designing and coordinating this day for you!

Happy Anniversary Renee and Phil!

One of the best parts of my job is getting to know my clients. I would say that nine times out of ten, I end up becoming good friends with my clients. Renee and Phil were no exception. When I met Renee, we instantly clicked, we are even sorority sisters.. from different chapters, but Alpha Chi Omega was just one of the many things we had in common. So it was that much more fun being a part of their wedding day.

They were married a year ago today. What a wonderful day… beautiful weather, gorgeous (and madly in love 🙂 ) couple, fun guests and impeccably planned, down to the very last little detail. The perfect recipe for the perfect wedding!

The Murphy Auditorium was the ideal canvas for Renee’s jewel-tone color palette. And talk about taking a theme and doing it right! The couple met in a college library – so the literature themed wedding really made sense, and was executed to perfection! It truly was a night to remember. So here’s to you – Renee and Phil! To another fantastic year of marriage! Congrats!!

Literature Themed Wedding at The Murphy

Renee and Phil were such a joy to work with! They are so in love – but also so sweet and adorable! Renee will always hold a special place in my heart – because she was my first (ever) client! That’s right – she took a leap of faith and signed with me before I had coordinated any weddings! However – she was so far ahead of the game – by the time her September 17th wedding rolled around – I had coordinated several weddings! Either way, she will always be special to me! (thanks Renee!)

I loved her dress! It was a sample Amsale, and thank goodness for Dress Doctor – they were able to alter it to fit the petite bride!

The inside of St. Michael’s church of Old Town was absolutely breathtaking! I just think wedding when I see it! Oh, and how adorable are the card catalog drawers for escort cards?! Luckily Phil’s mom is a librarian and she had a card catalog in her personal collections of antiques!

Who doesn’t love cake pops?! What a fun and sweet favor treat!

Jeweled toned flowers by Kloeckner‘s – along with old books made for the perfect centerpieces.

By now you guys know that I love giving my couples personalized cake forks as a wedding gift. How cute are these? “I Do – Me Too”

Isn’t The Murphy absolutely exquisite? Maybe I am a little biased, but The Murphy has to be one of my favorite venues in Chicago! (look for more of The Murphy coming soon – my wedding on the blog!)
