19 East Event Gallery Open House

IMG_2106We had the privilege of attending the 19 East Event Gallery open house this past Wednesday. The reinvestments and updates that have been made to the space are spectacular, and the vendors all did such an amazing job of putting together this lovely event: check out that posh lounge by Bowery and Bash!

With an iPhone in one hand and a refreshing cocktail in the other, we thought we’d snap a few shots of this elegant affair in its remarkable setting.

This stunning venue was recently acquired by Food For Thought, who provided the delectable nosh for the afternoon.

The floral by Exquisite Designs had us practically swooning!

We were barely able to handle the industrial chicness of it all. The venue has three large, flexible spaces on the main floor, a mezzanine for additional seating, and a second floor ideal for preparation prior to your event. They’re able to accommodate up to 300 guests seated and 500 for receptions.

Thank you, 19 East and Food For Thought, for such a lovely afternoon!

Leap into Wedding Season: February 29, 2012

Our Leap into Wedding Season event was a huge success.  Thanks to all the vendors that participated and of course to the lovely brides-to-be and their guests for attending!

Here is a glimpse into the evening!

Fleur de Lis Florist was the setting for this intimate bridal event.  Their 2 story vintage coach house had just  the perfect amount of charm!

Amy DiTomasso from Sugar Chic Designs created the perfect sweets table.  Brides were able to sample candy, cake pops, macarons and cupcakes.

Mark from Posh Corn donated his delicious gourmet popcorn for all the swag bags!  “Sweet Heat” was a big hit!

Bridal gowns and bridesmaid dresses from Jenny Yoo‘s 2012 Spring line were displayed and modeled for the brides to admire.

Fleur de Lis created all the beautiful florals…

Tandoori Chicken Skewers – Entertaining Company provided the mouthwatering passed hors d’oeuvres, which also included gnocchi bites, mini pear and brie quesadillas and truffled portabella beggar’s purse. As well as an antipasta plate of cheeses and cured meats.

Spread of cheeses, meats and freshly baked breads and crackers.

Revae Schneider of Femme du Coupe mixed up signature cocktails for our guests.  They tasted simply devine!

Meanwhile, upstairs we had an animated flip book photobooth by Record-A-Hit set up for our guests to enjoy!  Equipped with props and personalized backgrounds – and a flip book party favor for them to remember the night!

Brides were able to get an idea of hairstyles with on site stylings from Magnificent Brides.

Paired perfectly with hair accessories created by Maura from Pishposhes – Brides were able to visualize the complete look!

The team that pulled it off – Soirée Weddings & Events 🙂

Tiffany Munster, owner and lead event planner; Rebecca Niziol, associate coordinator; Lindsy Fagerstrom, intern; and Molly Blonn, associate coordinator.

Isn’t this view of the city absolutely devine?  It was the perfect ending to the perfect day! An extra day in the calendar that we normally don’t get!  Leap Year comes every four years – but that doesn’t mean we won’t be hosting an annual event.  Stay tuned for next year when we host our second annual Bridal event!

Thanks to DJ Harsh for providing his music and his talents as emcee!

girl meets blog

Welcome to Soirée‘s blog!

Come take a trip along with me into the world of weddings, parties, events and even everyday life! I am event planner by day and an event planner by night.  I am always up to thinking, planning or scheming some “thing”!

Here I hope to share with my followers everything from inspirations, ideas and designs to tips and tricks of the trade as well as my own personal thoughts and opinions.  That sounds like a lot – but a picture is worth a thousand words.  So I promise to excite you with tons of fun and fantastic photos!

This is one of my favorite photos!  Going forward, you may notice several pics of my kids…these two clowns – Coco (the cat) and Bowie (the dog).  This shot was taken in my office next to my desk and I managed to capture this at just the right moment! This sort of thing is what they get into while I am busy at work.  Somehow they manage to make me laugh out loud every single day!

Bowie has since outgrown the cage and it has been moved out of the office into the garage.

I have a passion for snapping spontaneous photos of the peculiar, random and bizarre. I absolutely plan to share those photos here on my blog as well!

Don’t worry – the plan is to blog mostly about the events and designs I create and my experience creating them.  So you definitely will get your fill of “all things wedding!” 🙂

Eat. Sleep. Plan.

night!
