Owner and Sr. Event Planner
“I guess you could say that I am a hopeless romantic – a big softy at heart. I cry at every wedding, even wedding shows on TV! What can I say; I am a sucker for all things- wedding. Ever since I can remember I have been planning, organizing and coordinating everything from my closet to dinner parties. Friends would come to me to plan birthday parties, bachelorette parties and showers but I became hooked once I started to plan my own wedding. Every day to me was like living in a wedding magazine, and I LOVED it! No bride wants it to end, however I began to suffer from withdrawals – and that is when I knew that this was my calling.
Blessed with the gift of gab and armed with a Communications degree, ‘sales’ was second nature to me. My success in the sales industry has given me many opportunities to connect and network, which has ultimately led me to start my own company as a Wedding Planner. I consider myself so lucky to get to do what I love every day. I get to be a part of the most important day in a couple’s life. I get to help them create their ‘Big Day’ that they will remember forever. There is nothing more rewarding.”

From a very young age, Melissa has always had an interests in designing and creating things. She enjoys considering how every detail, big and small, from beverage choices to straws, intersect to create a desired ambiance. After organizing and designing her own wedding in 2011, Melissa realized event planning was the perfect marriage of her creative passions and professional strengths, aligning her perfectly to helping others with their special events.

As Molly was planning her own wedding she majorly caught the bug. She painstakingly planned every detail of her wedding, complete with DIY touches, and threw a party that was so true to herself, to her husband and to their personalities. As the honeymoon wound down her love of weddings only flourished. Looking through her guest book from her wedding one note struck a chord. “This was a beautiful wedding and a fabulous party. You should get into wedding planning.” And so, after finding her passion in planning and designing her own wedding, she has joined the Soirée team bringing genuine enthusiasm and an head for logistics and details. Molly graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a degree in Theatre.
“To me, there are few moments as memorable, and full of emotion, as the moment a bride steps down the aisle, in front of all those people who have brought her to this point in her life, towards that person who makes her the happiest person in the world. To be a part of making sure that moment, and all the rest of their special day is perfect, is priceless.”
Rachel has been planning events since the moment she could walk and talk. As a child she would plan out every detail of her birthday parties down to the moment where she and her guests would snuggle up in their sleeping bags. As she grew older, her love for event planning only grew. She began coordinating birthday parties for her friends as well as celebrations for every milestone that occurred. Once she started college, she decided to turn her passion into a career. She started working at David’s Bridal as a wedding consultant, created 13 different wedding inspired Pinterest boards, and would spend her Fridays watching Bride Day on TLC. She has had various event planning experiences through internships and student-run organizations. Rachel recently graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a Bachelor’s degree in Recreation, Sport, and Tourism Management.
